Creative Europe renews support to EDN
EDN is one of the 28 European networks that will be supported by the Creative Europe Culture Sub-programme in the following years. Dansmakers Amsterdam is member of the network.
The project EDN21: strengthen-impact-imagine has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of a grant included in the Support to European Networks Strand. With this Strand, the European Commission aims to reinforce the cultural and creative sectors’ capacity to operate transnationally and internationally.
EDN has been co-financed by the Cultural Networks Strand since September 2014. Within the current project, that will finish in August 2017, the network focuses on the sustainability and relevance for dance. Both concepts are present in all the activities organized in this framework until now with the participation of more than 1000 international professionals.
The new project EDN21: strengthen-impact-imagine will be implemented from September 2017 to August 2021.
EDN is a network for trust and collaboration between 36 European dancehouses from 22 European countries sharing a common vision regarding the development of dance art across borders. It promotes the professional development of dance artists as well as dance as an art form. The EDN members share a model of working. They set up cooperation projects within the network and with other institutions which are focused on different and relevant aspects for dance such as production, communication, leadership, exchange and legacy.
